There are also Acceptance tests, that are typically performed by customers themselves to make sure that an application lives up to their expectations. Acceptance tests sometimes are called Functional tests. A system must be acceptance-tested before a release.

Another type of test is Smoke test. The point of this test is to quickly make sure if the version of software being tested is good enough to make more detailed testing. If the version being tested fails on its basic functionality, than most probably a more detailed testing does not make much sense. This is an attempt to save everybody&#039;s time.</description>
